#TeamCecil attended the Montgomery County Republican Women’s meeting on Thursday, October 22nd!

Featured guest speaker, Bruce Taylor has over 35 years of law enforcement experience and is a retired US Secret Service Agent. Taylor shared his experiences with previous presidents as an agent with the crowd. He first stated that “one of the most meaningful times I have had as an agent was election night in 2004; great news came for President George W. Bush when we found out that the state of Ohio missed out on some Catholic votes… It ain’t over until it’s over.” Furthermore, out of all of the election years Taylor has worked in the past, he explained why this election is very unique and we may never see one like it again. “President Trump likes to move at the speed of light and no other president is like this,” Taylor stated. He expressed how Donald Trump can draw huge crowds of people like no other president. “Let me just give you an example, this man has at least  25,000 people that will come out to an airport hanger with no air conditioning for his rallies and he still has to turn 20,000 people away… I think things are looking great for Donald Trump.” Taylor further explained how this election is more than just  Republicans vs Democrats; “President Trump loves this country and Vice President Biden wants to divide this country into groups.” Take a look at the previous administration’s policies and compare them to the Trump administration which experienced an all time low unemployment rate before the pandemic hit America. Taylor finished off by encouraging the importance of voting this election. To ALL Texans: If you haven’t voted, please get out and vote, share voting information online, talk to your local community and pray for President Trump!

Reminders… Just because the presidential election will be over in November, this doesn’t mean the Republican Party won’t be busy! Texas will go into the 87th legislative session in 2021 and we all have to stay motivated because there is still a lot that needs to be done!
